English

For over 10 years, we have helped students become better reader and writer. The students range from foreign exchange students learning English to those who want to improve their reading and writing skills. Overall, our students have shown improvement in skills and enjoyment in learning from our teachers. Because of our success, we wanted to open up an on-line program to teach more students with our well trained teachers. Now the students may learn English in the comfort of their own home and not fear making mistakes in front of others.

This program is designed to improve English for people of all ages  and to teach students the necessary skills for standardized tests. Our program will meet your needs, whether it is test preparation or learning grammar, comprehension skills, and speech. Our teachers are well trained, with many years of teaching experience and degrees coming from distinguished institutions such as Columbia University , University of Pennsylvania (UPENN), Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Cornell University. We know that you will enjoy expanding your English with our teachers.

Math

Math is a subject that many students struggle with. Apt Learner aims to make math clearer and easier for students so that they do not need to feel frustration when approaching math problems. The math program is devised not only to teach new concepts, but also to reinforce them and teach students how to apply these methods and ideas to solve different types of problems. Through over 10 years of teaching students, C.C.B. School of Westchester has found that schools are teaching students to follow set of rules when solving problems and this takes away from "thinking outside the box". Students are satisfied with knowing one method of solving a problem because they are afraid of learning something new and forgetting the previous method or messing up when learning the new one. We emphasize learning new ideas and methods so that the student can pick which technique is faster or easier for them. Our math tutors have many years of experience so they know what areas most students struggle with can explain those areas clearly. They will help students tackle problems with confidence.
